Please welcome one of our newest sponsors, Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve!
Chagrin Valley all natural soaps and all natural shampoo bars are handmade from scratch, one small batch at a time. The recipes are meticulously developed to produce a mild, rich, soothing soap that feels creamy in your hands, offers a magnificent long-lasting lather, and leaves your skin and hair feeling clean, soft, silky, and radiantly healthy. Every bath and shower will become a relaxing, enjoyable experience.
Inspired by the love of nature and gardening, CV Handcrafted Soaps are made with herbs, seeds, flowers, vegetables, fruits, and natural botanical essential oils to provide natural color, aromatherapy, texture, and gentle exfoliation. Many of the bars are enriched with natural emollients such as Shea, Mango, and Cocoa Butters and then "superfatted" with high quality exotic oils.
Sounds good, doesn't it?
But here's my favorite part!

I found out about CV soaps through a website for long hair care which I visit often. I decided to order a sample of their Ayurvedic Shampoo bar, (info about shampoo bars here) which I wasn't sure if I loved upon trying it. Truth is, it takes your hair a week or two to adjust. After this time, I couldn't be happier. I ended up ordering another bar with chamomille to bring out natural blonde highlights and I'm very satisfied.
I had the awesome and lucky opportunity to sample many of CV's products.
I enjoyed all of the products, but here are my top 3 which I would recommend to the natural beauty enthusiast...
(the *best* under eye cream I've ever tried!)
#2. Chamomille and Citrus Shampoo Bar
(great for lighter hair)
#3. Ayurvedic Herb Shampoo Bar
Alright, friends!

Wonderful giveaway. :) My favorite natural skin care product is Burt's Bees night cream with Royal Jelly. I usually have dry, patchy skin in the winter with the fun added bonus of hormonal acne. This stuff is deeply moisturizing without feeling greasy. I love it, and I use it day and night.

ReplyDeleteHello, this is so cool. I already use their Ayurvedic Herb Shampoo Bar! Yes they are a wonderful company. I already am following you but was happy to go and Like this wonderful company on FB. This bar has made my hair healthier, softer, and since my last trim I've noticed that the split ends are not returning as quickly. GREAT product! In fact Bear and I loved this bar so much that we actually started making our own soaps, more about that later, this is so neat that you use the same thing. Take care and have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI liked Chagrin Valley's Facebook page! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite natural skin care product is extra virgin olive oil! We use it in place of lotion. The ph balance is so similar to our own skin and it is so gentle that it does wonders on a sensitive newborn baby's body.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love to try that Ayurvedic Shampoo Bar. Sounds intriguing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a neat company! My favorite natural beauty "product" is a mask I make sometimes with egg white, ground oat meal, and honey. It is lovely and calming, and leaves my skin feeling super clean!
ReplyDeleteI love pure coconut oil - it is very moisturizing plus smells tropical!
ReplyDeleteI am also a fan of coconut oil as well... my husband is Guatemalan and they use it for lots of things down there too. I also use pure tea tree oil in the wash (my daughter was a lice magnet for a couple years straight and when washing bedding it is a big help)

I love using vinegar and water in a spray bottle for detangler, I spray it on in the shower and when I get out, a comb just zings right thru my hair, I also love my homemade calendula salve for dry skin and chapped cheeks for my little guy.

The Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve products are really great. Ida, the brains of the company, uses her Master's degree in biology to make all natural products and they are moving to all organic over the year. The salves are great for "stretch marks". Customer service can't be beat.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite natural body care items are: baking soda, coconut oil, calendula, and oats. :)
