I especially loved this fiber from a goat (I think?)...it was soft and perfectly curly-- it made splendid hair for a standing puppet I began creating during the course.
(He will one day be "Prince Autumn"...he'll make an appearance soon!)
I believe it was dyed with calendula....
In other craft and fiber news, I am very close to completing W's birthday sweater and other felted projects/decorations for his upcoming birthday!
...I'm so excited!

ReplyDeleteOh these pictures are just splendid. What a paradise! W's birthday crown is adorable. You've done a wonderful job. Question, would you do a post on how to make those puppets? I saw the picture of them at the school and just adore them. Take care.
ReplyDeleteyou are really inspring me with these peeks into your training. It reminds me why I am embarking on this path... as I looked at the photos, I felt like my soul took a deep breath of relief. Currently we live in a very white, noisy apartment in the suburbs and I can smell a foundry many days...luckily in a week we are moving to a cottage 3000 miles away -a lovely way to spend the end of my pregnancy. anyway, I love watching your progress through this journey, knowing that soon I will be on a similar venture. My foundation year program starts when we settle with the rudolf steiner centre :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spaces! So inspiring for the creative spirit! An love your banner and gifts for W!
