Love from Falling Leaves.....

The days have grown intensely chillier here.....
it's time for warm hats....

a beautifully knitted hat from a very talented mama!! Yay for swaps!!
Riding trains in the autumn countryside...

Collecting colorful leaves....

These leaves are the first few to fall from W's birthday tree. A few months back at W's 1st birthday bash, our family and friends helped us plant a Flowering Cherry Tree in honor of him.
Photobucket
We dug a huge hole...everyone pitched in!
Photobucket
W threw in the first sprinkling of soil...
Photobucket
Friends helped us, too....
Watching time pass is a peculiar and surreal thing....watching these leaves fall and running outside to collect them...carefully preserving them in warm, fragrant beeswax..
Photobucket
watching them glow in the Autumn sun....
Picturing his tree bare in the unstoppable cold of winter....
Thinking of the fluffy pink blooms it will bring in the springtime...
How my baby grows as time passes on....

  6. Each of my children have their own tree, too. Buried beneath the trees roots is their placenta. We held a ceremony for each tree-planting, singing songs, offering crystals. And now, as my son turns 5 next week, we return to his tree and marvel at both their growth, and how they each have changed. A very special place for your child to visit and seek shelter.
