Woolly, Woolly...and a bargain festivity tier..

The weather here has been HOT. Summer is in full swing, and our rhythm has slowed to a lovely lull...days are for play and relaxation, evenings are for long walks in the sunset. Sundays are for....the market for local wool roving!
Just a few weeks ago I met a lovely sheep farmer who sells roving at one of our local markets. I've been coming back to her stand every week and bringing along my creations to show her. There's a kind of pure sweetness I feel upon hearing her name the sheep when she views my projects!

Our nature table is longing for a festivity stand. Budget says, "no". Crafty and handmade mama says, "yes." I picked up an old tiered candle holder off of Freecycle.com (see if your area has one!). A coat of paint, a little but of drilling, nailing...we have a "festivity tier"...total cost: $1.00

Now this little gnome has a perfect fishing spot!

  2. what a great stand for your nature table. I think that is so cool that the person could tell what sheep the wool came from with your projects.
