Leaving town...

It's hard to believe, but my Fall session at Sunbridge begins tomorrow already!
I'm looking forward to a wonderful week of focusing on celebrating festivals with children, our main topic of study for this "semester". As a class, we've been reading Freya Jafke's Celebrating Festivals with Children this Fall on our own; I highly recommend it.

Eurythmy, Summer 2012. Yours truly in purple.

The 2012 graduating class. Very exciting to watch them....

I'll be gone for 5 days and I'm staying over 3 of these nights. This is the first time I've been away this long, and I'm kind of nervous. I'm bringing a lot of sewing, knitting, and reading and planning on taking some walks in the woods. It will be very odd not planning meals, taking part in bedtime, etc. W is spending the days with a wonderful and trusted friend who just so happens to be the mother of his best friend, L. I think he will have a lovely time and I know he is in the best of hands. Thank you, Amanda!!!

We've been enjoying the Fall here and Winter is upon us......

We enjoyed our final festival of Autumn, St. Martin.....
Looking ahead to the darkness and sparks of Winter....
See you in a week!

PS probably you get sick of hearing me say this: but little W is so incredibly beautiful.

  2. The best of wishes to you on your journey. It is always hard being away from home and family but it will fly by (I always take lots to distract me but hardly get to do any). Blessings.

  3. Good luck at your class. I am excited to hear about it when you return. Today I let my 3 children go with grandma for the next 3 days. I have never been away from my 3 year old so it will be an experience. I wish you well on yours too.
